Sometimes we feel alone even when we’re surrounded by family and friends. But we have to remember that we’re never alone.
I honestly used to hate the Thanksgiving Holiday. My mom would always cook all this food but when it came time to eat, it would only be me, my parents and my sister, which soon turned into just my parents and I when she moved out. We never went anywhere or never really visited any other family members. It didn’t even feel like a holiday, since I was eating dinner with the same people I’ve lived with my entire life.
But as I got older, I learned to appreciate just that. Being able to even have meal with the people I loved. As the years went on, my sisters family grew and we got reconnected with my moms side of the family. This defiantly made the holidays something to look forward to.
This years Thanksgiving holiday had to be one of the best. I was able to see most of my family and friends. My mom even threw me a surprise graduation party and invited everyone to to celebrate!
We really have to learn to be appreciative of those simple moments with people that don’t necessarily always feel special. Because when we do, things will fall right into place.
